I’ve talked about how to increase your karma and the various levels. Yet, the question being asked is why? Why should I care about increasing my karma? Well, the plurk team basically came up with the idea that by doing quality plurks you’ll get rewarded.

The easiest things you’ve probably seen as your karma increases is the ability to use different emoticons.

You find the different types at different levels by clicking on “How To Get More Karma?” just below your Karma rating. From there a window will pop-up and at the bottom it will say: High karma also gives you access to exclusive emoticons such as. Click on “Find Out More…” which you will see a window pop-up such as that seen on the left.

So far the dancing banana has proven to be the plurkers emoticons of choice.

That’s not it though. You might visit some of your plurking buddies and notice some different things on their profile. Editing your profile (top left of your plurking profile page) and clicking on “Customize Profile” you’ll notice some co

new features as your karma increases.
